Financial services, food retailing, transportation, automotive and the hotel industry are the sectors from which he can imagine new clients: now that Tyler Brûlé has bought back all shares in Wink Media from AOL Time Warner, he wants to take off. For the time being, however, the changes do not concern the client portfolio, but his agency, which was founded in 1998: the Winkreative, Winkoncept and Winkontent units are grouped under the holding umbrella of the new company Winkorp AG, based in Zurich. The range of services is comprehensive and extends from branding and advertising, corporate design and architectural consulting to PR, publishing consulting, the development of Wink products and media formats, with the latter no longer including a glossy Swiss magazine, but rather projects for a magazine and a radio format in English with a pan-European focus. "There are no business plans yet," Brûlé specified at his sparsely attended press conference in Zurich's prestigious "Baur au Lac" hotel.
The Anglo-Canadian will remain CEO of Winkorp. The "Darling of the Über-Stylish" (The Guardian) will lead the group with 28 employees and the branches in London - the creative heart of the holding company - and New York together with Managing Director Matthew Warren and Finance Director Anna Nunziata.
In addition to flagship client Swiss, Winkorp also works for Selfridges (UK), Pottery Barn (USA), Puma and Strenesse (D), Ferré (I) and Esas, a new men's fashion line. Brûlé describes the added value of the journalistic approach as the USP of his independent agency. His mission: "Winkreative is dedicated to refining the way of life and developing products, experiences and content that fulfill this mission." (la)
