Media policy The Swiss Private Radio Association (VSP) has called for various improvements to the draft of a new Radio and Television Act (RTVA) at the hearings of the National Council's Committee for Transport and Telecommunications. Among other things, either a ban on advertising and sponsorship for SRG radio stations should be enshrined in the law or the third channels (DRS 3, Couleur 3, Rete 3) should be privatized. According to the VSP, private radio stations' share of FM frequencies must be increased from the current 25 percent to 40 percent. It is also calling for an increase in fee splitting from the current CHF 7.5 million to CHF 16 million.
