Request for Radio Bilingue

Radio Although no second radio station is planned for Biel alongside Canal 3, the initiators of Radio Bilingue have now submitted a license application to Bakom (see WW 37/04). Béatrice Sermet, principal of the French high school in Biel and designated Vice-President of the Board of Directors of Radio Bilingue, fears that the French frequency "will be neglected or even outsourced" by Espace Media, which primarily broadcasts in German and wants to take over Canal 3.Radio Bilingue SA, based in Biel, is starting with a share capital of CHF 100,000. The ownership consists of people who live or work in the broadcasting area. Radio Bilingue is supported by a strategy group made up of business and cultural representatives.
