Publishers The AZ Medien Group achieved a net profit of CHF 1.0 million in the 2003 financial year. Despite this improvement, the profit remained at an unsatisfactory level, according to a press release. Consolidated operating income fell by 9 percent to 166.0 million francs. AZ publisher Peter Wanner: "2003 was one of the most difficult financial years I have ever experienced."
