Sluggish start
Ecran Pub, a TV advertising agency launched by Edipresse, is playing hide-and-seek.
TV advertising Ecran Pub, the marketing company launched by Edipresse, is playing hide-and-seek.Ecran Pub, the TV marketing company of Edipresse, has actually been in existence since May 2. Edipresse has renamed Edicom, its former company for Internet applications, and completely restructured the Board of Directors. The Chairman is Edipresse man Nourollah Avrany, although Ecran Pub has only tackled TV marketing half-heartedly. The company is neither listed in the electronic telephone directory nor does it have a website. Only several domain variants are reserved on Switch.ch. The only signpost to Ecran Pub that potential TV advertising customers can currently find is on the website of Lausanne broadcaster TVRL, where an Ecran logo, an impersonal e-mail address and the telephone number 021 921 66 00 are listed. The latter, however, turns out to be a connection to Ici-TV, one of the three Vaud stations whose management Ecran Pub has taken over. No wonder, because Bertrand Froidevaux, Marketing Director of Ici-TV, is also to take over the management of Ecran. He also sits on the Ecran Board of Directors with Ici director Thierry Bovay.
