Hallenbarter Promotional Video: Personal Perspectives Instead of Corporate Theatrics

To mark the 100th anniversary of Hallenbarter AG, the video production company Maybaum Film produced the new Hallenbarter corporate video as well as six individual portraits. The project was developed as part of the communication campaign «Everyone Experiences Wood Differently,» which the agency Egger Next created in collaboration with the timber construction company. The focus is on individuals who have a very personal connection to wood as a building material—and who openly share this connection in the portraits.

Instead of relying on traditional corporate branding, the film focuses on authenticity, intimacy, and credibility. The statements made by the people featured are intended to highlight just how deeply rooted wood is as a material—emotionally, culturally, and regionally. At the same time, according to the press release, the film paints a powerful picture of what Hallenbarter stands for: quality craftsmanship, durability, innovative strength, and a clear understanding of sustainable construction.

«Not through messages, but through people»

Laurent Ulrich, project manager and co-founder of Maybaum Film, describes the approach as follows: «It was important to us not to portray Hallenbarter through mere messages or USPs, but rather through the people who chose the company and its expertise in timber construction. This allows viewers to directly experience the company’s vision.»

At the strategic level, the focus was on developing a clear communication theme. Barbara Jenni, head of the Egger Next agency, says: «Our goal was to create a communication theme that authentically conveys Hallenbarter’s ethos while leaving room for personal stories. The film portraits do exactly that: they show how differently people experience wood and what shared perspective unites them.»

Modular Content for Different Channels

The format was designed so that each individual portrait also functions as a standalone testimonial. Taken together, these voices form a promotional video that represents the Hallenbarter brand while also creating modular content that can be used across various channels.

The film is rounded out by a portrait of Stephan Zuber, managing director of Hallenbarter. His appearance anchors the customers« personal testimonials in the company’s values. »For us, timber construction combines tradition, quality, and responsibility,« says Zuber. »The film shows what drives us, how we work, and what we want to achieve with our team for future generations.”

According to the press release, the project resulted in the development of communication tools that tell stories in an emotionally engaging way while also serving a strategic purpose: a brand video that conveys a clear message and a series of standalone testimonials that lend themselves well to further brand communication.
