Why Kreisvier is dispensing with AI for the new Coop campaign
Coop Restaurants is the first chain restaurant to receive a Bio Cuisine Star from Bio Suisse—the Basel-based agency kreisvier has now showcased this award with a handcrafted campaign created entirely without AI, in which organic ingredients were arranged to form stars.

The Coop restaurants have received a Bio Cuisine star from Bio Suisse - the first system gastronomy ever to do so. The reason for the award is the high proportion of organic ingredients: Over 30 percent of the products served come from organic farming.
To communicate this special distinction to guests, the Basel agency kreisvier developed a campaign that gives the organic ingredients themselves the leading role. In three different subjects, hundreds of different ingredients were arranged into organic stars. The realization was deliberately done without AI or digital post-processing: together with photographer Pia Grimbühler and food stylist Akos Neuberger, the arrangements were created live in the studio. All the ingredients used are exactly the same organic products that are served in the restaurants.
"We are very happy about this award," says Martin Wasserfallen, Head of Services & Product Management at Coop Gastronomie. "After all, it's not every day that you are the first to receive an award like this. And the campaign does justice to this joy."
The campaign has been running since mid-March on social media, online displays and YouTube as well as at the point of sale and in the Coop restaurants themselves.
