Neu Creative Agency develops communication presence for Yara daycare center
The Yara daycare center will open in Zurich in March, offering care for children with special needs. Neu Creative Agency developed the entire communication campaign—a visual world of playful animal shapes inspired by children’s imaginations.
The Yara daycare center is a unique childcare facility in Zurich for children with increased care and nursing needs. As in regular crèches, parents can have their children looked after outside the family on a daily basis. At the same time - in contrast to regular daycare centers - the focus is not only on educational support but also on medical and nursing care.
Neu Creative Agency developed the entire communication presence. The design was based on the childlike imagination that every child carries within them and that deserves to be stimulated and encouraged - regardless of individual abilities or even limitations. This idea gave rise to a visual world of unique, playfully suggested animal shapes that are representative of the attitude behind Kita Yara, bringing joy to everyday daycare and stimulating the imagination of everyone who comes into contact with it.
"With this unique, eye-catching and strong central idea, this important and special institution is given the appearance it deserves, which also opens up an emotional world in terms of communication," says Andrea Braschler, Managing Director at Neu Creative Agency.
Great demand for specialized daycare places
Although the overall demand for daycare places in Switzerland is considered to be well covered, children with increased care and nursing needs have hardly any access to extra-familial daycare. According to a study by Procap (2021), there are around 9,000 children with a disability of pre-school age in Switzerland. Children with severe disabilities and medical care needs in particular rarely find a suitable daycare place.
"It is important for us to get involved in this topic, as it is omnipresent in our society but still not very visible," says Nico Ammann, Partner at Neu Creative Agency.
