The WorldMediaFestivals is an international competition that recognizes outstanding work in the fields of television and corporate media. The submission deadline for the 2026 edition is January 31, 2026. The Award Days will take place on May 6 and 7, 2026, in Berlin.

The competition is open to productions that inform, educate, communicate, and inspire. These include corporate films, documentaries, television programs, online media, and campaigns. All submissions will be evaluated by an independent, international jury with professional expertise in broadcast and corporate communications.

Award Tags for Greater Transparency

For the 2026 edition, the WorldMediaFestivals are introducing Award Tags. This new form of recognition takes into account the increasing complexity of creative work. A single production may stand out for its storytelling, innovation, craftsmanship, impact, or strategic clarity.

Award tags do not alter either the evaluation process or the award structure. However, they help clarify what sets a project apart and highlight specific creative strengths. The tags are selected during the submission process and assigned by the jury as part of the evaluation process.

The introduction of Award Tags offers several advantages: greater transparency in the recognition of work, clearer positioning of award-winning productions, and additional visibility for the qualities that define excellence. For creatives, agencies, and companies, Award Tags add meaningful context to the awards and strengthen professional recognition beyond a single category.

International Visibility in Tokyo

An award at the WorldMediaFestivals means more than just a trophy. Selected award-winning productions are presented annually in Tokyo in collaboration with long-standing partners. These screening events showcase outstanding television and corporate media productions to an industry audience and expand the visibility of the award-winning works beyond the festival.

The screenings bring together professionals from the film and video industry, as well as students and aspiring creatives. They offer a rare opportunity in Japan to experience internationally award-winning corporate and television productions and to gain insights into global trends, techniques, and creative approaches in professional media production. Selected winners will be featured in curated screening programs, followed by professional networking and discussion.
