The Zurich agency Flayr is taking an unconventional approach to customer acquisition: instead of cold calling, it is giving away an entire campaign to a company. Applications can be submitted until December 24, and the decision will be made at the beginning of January.
An alternative to cold calling
Cold calling feels like knocking on the doors of empty houses, according to the young agency. Flayr has decided to open its own doors and give away a campaign to a company that is ready to make a difference together. The deadline for applications is December 24, and the winner will be announced at the beginning of January.
After many years in agencies, brands and productions, the founders have learned that creativity needs to be experienced, not explained. Relationships are not created with Excel sheets, but through shared enthusiasm. The effort, time and money that goes into cold calling or uncertain pitches could just as easily be invested in a complete campaign - with real impact instead of empty hopes.
From the idea to the implementation
The concept is straightforward: A real campaign for a real company, from idea to implementation. No empty words, no show decks, just collaboration. "We believe that good collaboration begins before contracts are signed. This campaign is a door opener for encounters, conversations and new opportunities," explains Nadja Stickl, CEO and founder of Flayr.
Interested companies can register until December 24th. apply. The announcement at the beginning of January will be followed by a joint kick-off to develop ideas. Flayr takes over the complete development, design and production of the campaign. The company receives all results free for use.
Becoming visible with humor
To publicize the campaign, Flayr has taken the mickey out of itself. With a campaign and a film that lovingly exaggerates media excitement: breaking news, rom-com kitsch, exaggerated drama. Why? Because humor unites. Because PR is sometimes absurd. And because the agency would rather laugh than hide.
"The campaign is an invitation to get to know us through what we design - not through what we claim," says Michel Schmidt, Creative Director and founder of Flayr.
