With "Keep the world turning", the Swiss Steel Group is launching a new communication initiative for its range of turning steels. The Zurich-based creative agency Salz & Water has developed a global communication platform that puts the spotlight on the precision craft of steel turning.

An ode to the machinists and turners of this world

At its center is a film that is staged as a manifesto to precision craftsmanship and machinists - those silent heroes and heroines who, with every turn on the lathe, ensure that our world literally keeps turning. In aesthetically condensed images, the film combines microscopic precision with macroscopic movement: Sparks fly, metal shavings glow, while spinning tops, wheels and planets turn - a visual symbol of the interplay between man, machine and material.

The presence is complemented by key visuals, flyers and a multilingual poster series that translates the visual language into large-format visuals at roadshows, trade fairs and factory halls. A targeted, multi-stage social media campaign also complements the platform with a variety of formats.

"Our campaign shows that it's not just about steel and machines - but about people whose passion and precision keep our world moving," says Anina Berger, Vice President Group Marketing, Communications and Sustainability at Swiss Steel Group. "The feedback has been overwhelming - the first international roadshows have already been a complete success."
