Gfs.bern launches video podcast gfs.echo
With its new video podcast, gfs.echo, the research institute gfs.bern is positioning itself as a influential voice in political discourse. Lukas Golder and Jenny Roberts conduct interviews with prominent figures from the worlds of politics, business, and academia. The first season focuses on health policy.

With gfs.echo, the Bern-based research institute gfs.bern is launching a new video podcast format that combines research with domestic political dialog. In each episode, Lukas Golder, co-director of gfs.bern, conducts a discussion with personalities from politics, business and science. At his side: Jenny Roberts, who contributes current study results and social trends as co-host.
"gfs.echo is a further development of our research and dialog expertise. We want to give weight to the answers we receive and initiate further debates," explains Lukas Golder. Jenny Roberts adds: "We want to make complex topics understandable without simplifying them. This is communication that provides orientation and connects people."
First season on health policy
The first season is dedicated to health policy and marks the start of the new format. The guests are Katrin Crameri (Co-Programme Director DigiSanté), Yvonne Gilli (President FMH), Esther Pauchard (author and psychiatrist), David Traub (CEO Novartis Switzerland) and Sarah Wyss (National Councillor, President of the Finance Committee, Social Security and Health Committee). A series on energy policy will follow in 2026.
Dialog instead of pure reach
For gfs.bern, the format is part of its positioning as an institute that understands research in dialog - with relevance for politics, administration and society. "We show that research not only creates numbers, but also meaning - in a communication landscape in which not only reach, but also dialog should count," says Lukas Golder.
The 20 to 30-minute conversations were produced in collaboration with Alien Alliance Films at Co-Working Effinger Bern. The format appears as video and audio on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube and at https://www.gfsbern.ch/de/gfsecho/. The topics covered are based on the focal points of the UBS Worry Barometer.
