The retailer Lidl is continuing its commitment to women’s soccer and will be a partner of UEFA’s women’s competitions through 2030. Following the success of the 2025 Women’s EURO, Lidl will support additional tournaments and promote the development of women’s soccer.

Expansion of commitment to women's football
Lidl, one of the leading retailers in Switzerland and Europe, has announced the extension of its successful UEFA partnership. The company will continue its commitment to women's football as a partner of the UEFA women's national team competitions until 2030. The extended partnership includes the UEFA Women's EURO 2029, the Women's European Qualifiers 2028/29 and the UEFA Women's Nations League 2025, 2027 and 2029.
Successful outcome of the Women's EURO 2025
The UEFA Women's EURO 2025 in Switzerland reached over 400 million fans worldwide and welcomed more than 650,000 visitors to the stadiums. Lidl was present at all eight venues and set important accents with various activities: Over 250,000 fruit cups were distributed in the fan zones and in front of the stadiums to promote a healthy lifestyle. The Lidl Awareness Team, consisting of almost 60 employees, ensured safety and respect among the fans.
Promoting young talent and social commitment
One highlight of the activities was the international Lidl Youth Camp in Basel, which brought together 100 girls aged 14 to 17 from 18 countries. The participants received expert coaching and nutrition workshops. In addition, more than twelve tons of fresh fruit and vegetables were grown on the Lidl fresh produce field in Rapperswil-Jona and donated to those in need.
The popular Lidl Kids Team will be back at the UEFA Women's EURO 2029, offering children the unique opportunity to run in hand in hand with the stars of women's football. This underlines Lidl's commitment to promoting health, awareness and empowerment through sport, as well as its commitment to equality in football.
