Edi. 2025: 41 films in the running - the shortlist is here!
The jury of the Swiss Edi. Award for Commissioned and Advertising Films has announced its shortlist for 2025. A total of 41 films are in the running for one of the coveted trophies. The winners will be announced on October 30 at the awards ceremony at the Schiffbau in Zurich.
For the 26th time, the Swissfilm Association Under the patronage of the Federal Department of the Interior, it honors outstanding audiovisual productions. The Edi. is considered the most prestigious award for commissioned and promotional films in Switzerland and recognizes productions that combine creativity, technical precision, and communicative impact.
About 140 subject matter experts evaluated the submitted entries in a multi-stage online judging process. The decisive factors were the visually and aurally compelling execution of the communication brief and the harmonious interplay of concept, screenplay, direction, visuals, music, sound, and editing.
On the 2025 Shortlist There are 41 entries from a wide variety of categories—ranging from classic commercials to image and social media productions, as well as animation and documentaries. The selection includes works from agencies, production companies, and clients from all over Switzerland. The complete list of nominated films is available online at edinet.ch/shortlist.
The awards ceremony on October 30, 2025, at the Schiffbau in Zurich will be the highlight of the Swiss Commissioned Film Year—and will once again showcase the diversity, innovation, and creative strength of the domestic film industry.
