Thomas Wildberger leaves Prophet - reorientation as a strategic creative consultant
After four years at the international brand and strategy consulting firm Prophet, Thomas Wildberger is charting a new course. The former CEO and CCO of the Publicis Group plans to apply his expertise in creativity and brand strategy in an even more targeted manner going forward.

Thomas Wildberger, previously a partner at the international brand and strategy consultancy Prophet, is leaving the company after four years. The experienced brand and communications expert plans to offer his expertise in creativity and brand strategy in an even more focused way in future.
"I'm entering an exploratory phase and you'll see me disappear as a dot on the horizon to find myself a little further back," says Wildberger, describing his next step with a tongue-in-cheek quote from his namesake Thomas D. Self-employment is one option, although he is still keeping all options open in view of ongoing talks.
During his time at Prophet, Wildberger was responsible for major brand projects. These included Tank & Rast, the leading provider of highway service stations in Germany, UBS with "Banking is our craft" and most recently "20 Minuten" with the positioning "Reading is sexy". "For these important projects, I worked with top freelance creatives from my network and realized on these occasions that I should be moving more in this direction myself," explains Wildberger. "We creatives have the ability to think end-to-end. My aim is to holistically combine top strategy and creative excellence to achieve sustainable results."
In addition to his professional reorientation, Wildberger will remain with ADC Switzerland as President. The club is about to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026, which should not only be celebrated, but also serve as a guide for the next 50 years. "Our industry is very close to my heart and my commitment in any form should also help to consolidate its relevance in the future," emphasizes Wildberger.
