Cailler shows chocolate with a bite - and a smile
New Campaign by Scholz & Friends Featuring Harry Potter Star Jason Isaacs for Cailler
With a humorous TV commercial and the claim "Unpack your smile" Cailler is launching a new brand world. The campaign was developed by Scholz & Friends Zurich - and it relies on the charisma of a prominent brand fan: actor Jason Isaacs, known from Harry Potter and The White Lotus, stands in front of the camera together with colleague Nanette Drazic.
A suitcase full of chocolate
To mark the 150th anniversary of the invention of milk chocolate by Daniel Peter, son-in-law of founder François-Louis Cailler, the traditional brand unveiled its new brand identity, three products and a surprise in September - and now it's clear: the British actor is the face of the new campaign.
The main film shows the chaotic arrival of Isaacs and Drazic at an Alpine hotel. A misplaced suitcase briefly puts a damper on their vacation fun - until a bar of Cailler chocolate saves the day. The pink bathing briefs, which become a running gag in the commercial, provide a charming twist and underline the motto, the The chocolate side of life to enjoy.
Humorous brand relaunch
The campaign includes TV commercials, posters and social media formats in several versions. Filming took place at Zurich main station and at Villa Honegg on the Bürgenstock. According to the production, the actor contributed his own ideas - with visible fun and commitment.
"Nobody makes them better than Cailler"
Isaacs openly admits to being a chocolate lover in the interview:
"I'm vegan - except when it comes to chocolate! I've never been able to resist milk chocolate. Nobody makes it better than the Swiss, and nobody in Switzerland makes it better than Cailler."
New identity for FutureBrands
The new brand identity comes from FutureBrands Paristhe campaign of Scholz & Friends Zurich. Both are intended to interpret the traditional label in a modern way and at the same time emphasize its origins.
