Red Dot Award for Scholtysik's ESCMID brand presence
The Zurich-based branding agency Scholtysik was honored with the prestigious 2025 Red Dot Award for its brand and event identity for the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID). The new identity supports the professional society’s strategic realignment to become a global leader.

The branding agency Scholtysik receives the Red Dot Award 2025 in the Brands & Communication Design category for its work on the brand and event appearance of the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID).
The rebranding of the leading European medical society for microbiology and infectious diseases supports its strategic realignment as a global leader. With 13,000 members, 20,000 congress participants, 34 study groups, highly cited journals, international training and certification programs and medical guidelines applied worldwide, ESCMID is now one of the largest medical societies in the world.

In the face of global threats from antibiotic resistance, new infectious diseases and the spread of misinformation, the new brand identity communicates ESCMID's expanded mission in research, education and industry collaboration more clearly to the outside world. The dynamic and variable brand identity underlines the scientific focus and open, network-like character of the organization and accelerates the expansion of communication on digital channels and live events.
The Red Dot Design Award is one of the largest design competitions in the world and has established itself internationally as a coveted seal of quality for good design. Founded in 1996 and based in Zurich, the Scholtysik agency supports companies and institutions in the management and transformation of brands.
