HSO organizes Europe's largest educational hackathon in Barcelona
The Swiss School of Business and Information Technology (HSO) is bringing 600 students from its Certified Business Administrator (HF) program to Barcelona for Europe’s largest educational hackathon. From September 1 to 4, the participants will develop innovative solutions to business challenges faced by Cupra.

A hackathon is a collaborative meeting where new ideas are implemented, problems solved or products developed together. The HSO School of Business and Informatics will soon be making history: at the beginning of September, 600 future business economists will develop solutions for Cupra's business challenges as part of the "Intra- and Entrepreneurship" module in Barcelona.
Trend topics mobility and e-commerce
"Theory and practice should be seamlessly intertwined," says Michael Segrada, Head of School and Managing Director of HSO. In teams, the students develop innovative prototypes for real Cupra business cases with the support of industry experts and coaches. "The focus is on the trending topics of mobility and e-commerce. The results flow directly into the further course of the module at HSO."

Barcelona: epicenter of creativity
The Catalan metropolis was chosen deliberately: as the home of Cupra, it gives students direct access to the company and its market realities. At the same time, as a top European start-up hub, Barcelona offers an inspiring innovation ecosystem. In this dynamic environment, participants experience live how ideas take shape - and train creative thinking, personal responsibility and active learning. "The hackathon is a source of inspiration for us - young talents think boldly, quickly and just as unconventionally as we do at Cupra," says Nicolas Hobi, Head of Marketing Cupra Switzerland.
