SIHF launches its own Instagram account for women's ice hockey

Shortly before the 2025 Women’s World Championship, Swiss women’s ice hockey is launching its own social media presence: Starting now, Swiss Ice Hockey will be offering exclusive insights into the national teams at @swissicehockeywomen. The goal is to increase visibility—as well as to interact more directly with the fan community.

Shortly before the start of the IIHF Women's World Championship 2025 in the Czech Republic, the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation SIHF is creating its own digital platform for Swiss women's ice hockey. The new Instagram account @swissicehockeywomen puts the focus on both the women's senior national team and the junior national teams. The platform is intended to increase the visibility and recognition of women's ice hockey and offer fans a more direct point of contact.

The new channel now offers interested parties an exclusive look behind the scenes, the latest news on the national teams, training insights and interviews. The existing accounts @postfinance_womensleague for the top women's league and @skyswissleagueofficial for the second division will remain unchanged.

The existing Instagram account @swissicehockeyfederation will remain the central platform for all other areas of the SIHF - including the men's national teams, the National Cup, Swiss Ice Hockey Day and Swiss Ice Hockey Night. In the future, the federation plans to introduce a separate Instagram account for the men's national teams as well.
