Imprint adopts new CLA revision and accelerated admission procedure

At its delegates' meeting held in Freiburg on December 6, 2024, Impressum passed several important resolutions: a revision of the collective bargaining agreement with the regional radio stations in French-speaking Switzerland and the introduction of a new procedure for admitting new members to the professional registry.

On Friday, December 6, 2024, 32 Impressum delegates met in Fribourg to vote on two key issues at an extraordinary delegates' meeting. The participants, who were represented both on site and online, discussed the revision of the collective labor agreement (CLA) with the regional radio stations of Western Switzerland (RRR) and a new, accelerated admission procedure for the professional register (BR).

The negotiations on the CLA were commissioned by the Board of Directors in March of this year in order to improve the framework conditions for media professionals. At the same time, the internal processes of the professional association were to be optimized through a structural reform.

Unanimous approval in challenging times

The delegates, all journalists, approved both proposals. This underlines the relevance of these measures in an increasingly tense environment for media professionals. The delegates' meeting marks a further step towards sustainably strengthening the working conditions and internal organization of Impressum.
