Winter Heroes: The Unsung Heroes Working to Keep Our Roads Safe
Swiss Salines, in collaboration with OHO Design, is putting the heroes of winter in the spotlight: Beatrice, Adrian, Igor, Thomas, and Toni. A multilingual campaign showcases the maintenance crew as they take on snow and black ice—and keep Switzerland moving.
When snow, black ice, and cold weather have the country in their grip, people like Beatrice, Adrian, Igor, Thomas, and Toni make sure that streets and paths remain safe. These winter heroes are on the job when most people are asleep, and through hard work and precision, they ensure that city residents can get around safely.
To honor this often unseen work, the Basel-based agency OHO Design, together with Florie Salamin and her team at Swiss Salines, has developed an impressive campaign. In collaboration with Werkhof employees from all over Switzerland, they created authentic photos and videos that put a face to these winter professionals. The campaign is available in four languages and showcases the heroes from each region in a way that’s tailored to the local audience.
The campaign is now visible on digital advertising screens in train stations, on trains, and on social media. It is launching in the cities of Zurich, Bern, Olten, St. Gallen, Lausanne, Lugano, and Ilanz. With a powerful message and striking images, the campaign honors the people without whom Switzerland would come to a standstill.
A special highlight of the campaign is the behind-the-scenes video, which offers an up-close look at the work of the winter heroes. The campaign launches today, November 18, 2024, and will run in four languages throughout Switzerland.
