35,000 francs donation: Visitors celebrate at the Hug Chnusperhäuschen event
At Hug AG’s traditional gingerbread house event in Malters on November 9, approximately 12,000 visitors gathered to decorate gingerbread houses and raise 35,000 francs for Pro Juventute’s vacation fund. It was a successful celebration of creativity and community.

For the 19th time, the Hug company headquarters in Malters was transformed into a creative Christmas workshop. At this year's Chnusperhäuschen event on November 9, thousands of visitors were once again drawn to the festive atmosphere to decorate gingerbread houses and do good together. Participants paid 10 francs for each set of houses, half of which went to the Pro Juventute vacation fund - a project that has already raised over 870,000 francs for low-income families and single parents.
In addition to making little houses, the festive event offered a varied program: the children listened to fairy tales told by Jolanda Steiner, tried their hand at Ramseier crossbow shooting or marveled at performances by Circus Monti. The audience also got their money's worth in culinary terms with the popular cheese and leek/bacon chüechli from Hug Food Service.
Anna Hug and Marianne Wüthrich, Co-Managing Directors of Hug AG, are delighted with the positive response: "The joy and commitment of the visitors always make this event something very special." Nicole Platel, President of Pro Juventute since March 2024, expressed her thanks for the many years of support when handing over the cheque: "The vacation fund helps families to take a break that they would otherwise not be able to afford."
