Scary factor in the supermarket: clever advertising film from Option Consommateurs
In its latest campaign, the Canadian consumer protection organization Option Consommateurs draws on an iconic scene from Stanley Kubrick’s *The Shining* to shed light on the dark side of grocery shopping. A look behind the scenes at the consumer traps in the supermarket.
The new advertising film from Option Consommateurs gives you goosebumps - and not just because of the creative allusion to the legendary horror film The Shining. The viewer follows a person with a shopping cart through the supermarket aisles. And suddenly the famous twin girls from "The Shining" appear - a subtle hint that not everything is as harmless as it seems when it comes to shopping. Supermarkets naturally use numerous tricks to tempt us into spontaneous purchases. It's easy to get the feeling that control is slipping away. The commercial was created by the Archipel agency. It was produced by Studio Le Quartier.
