Uber Eats: what Zurich residents order

Uber Eats is celebrating its 5th anniversary and has analyzed what Zurich residents tend to order. The latest data also reveals which neighborhood is particularly health-conscious and which one loves to party the most.

The most popular dish in Zurich is the cheeseburger, followed by the Greek pita.
Nothing works without coffee: Zurich loves its coffee. Last year, over 70,000 coffees were ordered, almost three times as many as in Basel. The most popular is the caffè latte, followed by the caramel macchiato and the iced caffè latte
14 million kilometers : In the last five years, the delivery partners in Zurich have covered a total of 14 million kilometers. This corresponds to around 365 circumnavigations of the earth!
Delusions of grandeur: The largest order placed in Zurich last year contained almost 30 burgers and was worth 870.30 francs.
Loyal soul : The award for the most loyal customer goes to a customer from Zurich who placed 796 orders last year.
Expanded delivery area: The delivery area has also expanded and now extends from Bülach and Embrach to Uster, Wetzikon, Hinwil, Rapperswil-Jona, Pfäffikon, Wohlen, Richterswil, Thalwil, Erlenbach and Affoltern am Albis.

Early Birds: The largest proportion of breakfast orders (14%) is placed in District 1.
Health-conscious : District 8 is the healthiest. This is where the proportion of salad, veggie and vegan orders is highest at over 15%.
Zurich's Chinatown is district 2 with the highest proportion (almost 30%) of Asian orders. Districts 5 and 10 are in second and third place with 29% and 28% respectively.
Things have to be quick in district 12: fast food dishes such as burgers and pizza are the top sellers there, accounting for almost 54% of orders.
Party district : District 8 has the highest alcohol consumption at around 2% - cheers!
