Swiss start-up creates virtual legacy

When people die, a great deal of wisdom, memories, and experiences are lost. That is why Mike Fuhrmann has made it his mission, through his project *Eternal Echo*, to capture people and their individual life stories on film.

Mike Fuhrmann creates with Eternal Echo a legacy and intellectual asset that is not in danger of fading with the passage of time, according to the announcement of today's launch. The focus is always on people and their life experiences, not just their professional achievements, it adds. The video messages can be given to loved ones as gifts. In the future, the goal is also to make the videos accessible to future generations by means of QR codes on gravestones. In this way, the cemetery will become a museum of stories, and a dreary place will become one of learning and inspiration.

"Our life stories are a mosaic of emotions, experiences and wisdom. Often, their echoes fade into the annals of time. That's why my goal is not just to preserve memories, but to record them in a way that will move and inspire future generations," explains Mike Fuhrmann, who makes his home with his family in Horgen on Lake Zurich.

Eternal Echo cooperates with an extensive network of coaches and videographers to realize emotional video documentaries throughout Switzerland. Fuhrmann sees other possibilities beyond private use. "In times when history is in danger of repeating itself, I see it as our duty not only to preserve life lessons, but also to make them digitally accessible. I dream of turning cemeteries into museums of wisdom and inspiration, where visitors:inside can relive the stories of the deceased using QR codes. It may be a long road, but we've taken the first step."
