The diploma ceremony, hosted by the president of the examination board, Dominik Leonhardt, brought together students, lecturers and representatives of the communications industry. Jürg Bachmann, President of KS/CS Communication Switzerland, congratulated the graduates on passing their exams and emphasized the importance of the training for the entire industry.

The event, organized by Ekaterina Petrova, Head of the Examination Secretariat, gave the graduates the opportunity to receive their diplomas from the examination supervisors Yves Epiney and Roland Ehrler and to celebrate their hard work.

Passion and perseverance as success factors

"I was curious by nature and wanted to deepen my knowledge of communication in the Swiss market," answers Maxime Chabloz, Account Director at Agence Trio, when asked what prompted him to take the training. For him, he says, it was clear that training was a natural prerequisite for his professional activity. A passion for communication was also a key motivation for Loreana Cabré, Marketing Assistant at Grand Casino Bern.

For the graduates, good time management was enormously important during the fourteen-month training, as it was part-time: "The biggest challenge for me was to combine training, professional and private life," said Maxime. For all interviewees, the training was characterized by strong class cohesion. For example, Roman Bärtschi, a junior consultant at Valencia Kommunikation AG, said, "We were a great class and we still see each other after we graduate." So, in addition to gaining new expertise, graduates also make new friends and expand their professional network.

With strong competencies into further professional life

The five best diploma candidates were honored for their brilliant achievements with individually engraved writing instruments from Faber Castell, a long-standing sponsor of the exams. In addition to the writing instruments, the three best graduates also received vouchers for an overnight hotel stay. KS/CS Kommunikation Schweiz congratulates them on their outstanding achievements.

The diploma ceremony for the 2023 Federal Specialized Examination for Communication Professionals, supported for years by the Swiss Advertising Contractors Association (SWA), marks not only the end of an important chapter in the graduates' professional lives, but also the beginning of an exciting new phase in which they can take the skills and knowledge they have gained from their training into the dynamic world of communication.

The next exams for federal communications specialists will take place in March 2024. The registration deadline for these is October 28, 2023. Interested parties can find out more about continuing education in communications on the website of KS/CS.
