"From Z to Zzzzz" - BrinkertLück turns war symbol into a sign of hope

The BrinkertLück agency is launching a campaign to support the «Host4Ukraine» platform.

More than 1.5 million people are now on the run as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The digital church portal Churchpool has set up the "Host4Ukraine" platform to pool global solidarity and willingness to help and provide many refugees with a safe place to stay as quickly as possible. The internet platform brings together refugees and accommodation providers worldwide in a simple way and without high bureaucratic hurdles.

Refugees can use the free platform to contact private accommodation providers directly, similar to Airbnb. This is easier and, above all, faster than having to process each request through an organization. After just a few days, Host4Ukraine is already offering several thousand apartments, rooms and beds in over 40 countries.

Call for broad support

"An impressive, but in many places understandably still poorly coordinated, wave of willingness to help is sweeping through Europe. Host4Ukraine' bundles this in a very important area and quickly provides refugees with a safe roof over their heads. However, the free platform is currently still lacking awareness. We have therefore decided to support 'Host4Ukraine' with a free campaign. We are asking companies, political parties, private individuals, associations and agencies to use their reach to make the platform even better known to helpers and refugees," says Raphael Brinkert, founder of BrinkertLück in Hamburg and Zurich.

The "Z" is at the heart of the English-language campaign "From Z to Zzzzz", which includes an advertising spot as well as print and social media motifs. The letter can be found on many weapons of war and vehicles of the Russian army and has rapidly become a symbol of the Russian invasion and its war propaganda in recent days.

"The biggest problem for many refugees is that they don't know where to stay. Of course, reception camps are set up at borders, airports and train stations, but in private accommodation, people can provide more direct, faster and less complicated support to refugees seeking help. It's also nicer and more pleasant to be welcomed into a real home," says Churchpool Managing Director Nils Bischoff.
