Manor spots: Perfect Christmas gifts for a less than perfect world

A power outage that brings a mountain village to a standstill, a hole in the roof through which snow drifts into the house, and a failed attempt to find the perfect hiding spot for the presents—even at Christmas, there are situations that need to be handled. This year’s TV commercials from Manor show how, despite the challenges, the holidays can still be a joyful time spent with family and friends.

The two Manor TV spots are now available to watch on YouTube and will launch on Swiss TV channels next week.

After two years of restrictions, people want to celebrate an even more beautiful and magical Christmas than in previous years with their loved ones. However, the preparations for Christmas can be really challenging at times. Manor has developed two Christmas stories that tell with a lot of humor and a touch of reality what really matters at Christmas.

In the first TV spot, the viewer is transported directly into a family scene. The father tries to find a good hiding place for his presents and places them in the most unusual places in the house. Unfortunately, all family members - including the dog - discover the gifts before Christmas Eve. In the second spot, the attempt to fix the decorative star on the chimney roof fails. This not only causes a power failure that paralyzes an entire mountain village, but also damages the roof. Two stories united by one idea: Even if the circumstances, the decorations or the hiding place are not perfect, the right gift and the presence of family and friends transform Christmas into an unforgettable time.

"It's nice to be able to spend Christmas with our loved ones again. The holidays are the best opportunity to get together and celebrate with family and friends. Finding a suitable gift for a special person, wrapping it lovingly and presenting it is associated with a lot of joy. That's why this year, for the two TV spots, we focused on an elegant presentation of gifts for a unique Christmas," says Jennifer Frame Brand Director at Manor.

For the realization of the 2021 TV commercials, specialists from different areas of film were used. During several months, Manor developed the storyline in cooperation with the BETC agency.

The TV commercials, which will be broadcast throughout Switzerland from November 22, 2021, can be seen on TV in lengths of up to 30 seconds.
