Subtlety brings together the unexpected for Swissnex
Swissnex connects Switzerland with other countries in the fields of education, research, and innovation. To mark the network’s 20th anniversary, the Bern-based agency Feinheit developed a visibility campaign.

For many actors in the Swiss education, research and innovation landscape, Swissnex is a household name and highly relevant. Beyond that, however, the federal network is hardly known. To ensure that in the future even more Swiss startups, researchers and students are informed about the activities and operations of Swissnex and to reduce fear of contact, Feinheit has developed a visibility campaign. Bringing together the unexpected formed the core of the communication. Because Swissnex brings new faces together, connects the cultural with the scientific and breaks through classic bubbles.
Feinheit developed a cross-channel communication concept based on the principle of Human Centered Design. This has the added value that Swissnex can also use the findings from the audience research approach for future activities within Switzerland. As a result, Feinheit created a transformable Online platformon which the projects and events of the anniversary year were published.
On the platform and in display advertising, seemingly random combinations of words come together on a banner. On the one hand, you can find out which projects are hidden behind them on the platform via background stories from the various international locations, and on the other hand on social media. Because with the target groups in mind, a social media campaign with editorial operations under the direction of Feinheit was launched at the same time as the platform was published. Since October, the network has been providing information about its activities in four languages via LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram. Feinheit also advised and supported Swissnex with media relations.
