Qaveman launches brand film and breaks with male stereotypes
With their new skincare brand, Qaveman—developed exclusively for men—the founders aim to break down outdated stereotypes of masculinity. In their new brand film, they explain how it all began and why they do what they do.

The story of Qaveman begins with ETH student Julien Halnaut, who is caught by his girlfriend helping herself to her moisturizer. In his search for his own cream, Julien realizes that all skin care products for men exist only as side lines from large cosmetics manufacturers. Together with his study friend Torben, he therefore does some research and they find out that the topic of skin care is hardly discussed among men, even though six out of ten men use skin care products.
"We live in a time when men can recreate their own male image and be who they want to be. But many still let themselves be constricted by old stereotypes, such as skin care being unmanly. With Qaveman, we want to offer a platform that encourages men to define their own masculinity, independent of stereotypes," says Julien Halnaut.
In collaboration with Swiss laboratories, Qaveman now sells a range of Qaveman products in selected specialty stores and on Qaveman.ch.
In their new brand film, the Qaveman crew introduce themselves and explain how and why exactly they do it all for the male world (and indirectly for the female world as well). Like the brand itself, the brand film was developed from their own ideas. For the realization, the employees themselves stood in front of the camera.
