"Judge a book by its cover": Serviceplan Suisse invites you to literary speed dating

On behalf of the Swiss Booksellers and Publishers Association (SBVV), Serviceplan Suisse organized a literary speed dating event for World Book Day on 23 April. In line with the campaign claim "Say it with a book", participants brought along their favorite book to introduce themselves.

The campaign, which was launched last November, aimed to make books popular again and encourage more people to visit a bookshop. The literary speed dating was intended to bring the idea behind it to life, as books can say a lot about their readers.

Around 60 participants were asked to bring along their favorite book. On the one hand, the book served as a selection criterion for the dating partner, but on the other hand, it also served as a conversation starter and icebreaker during the evening, giving the participants not only the opportunity to get to know potential partners, but also to broaden their literary horizons.

As part of the campaign, three commercials were filmed in which a dialog is conducted via book titles. To promote speed dating, one of the spots tells the story of two people who meet and talk at the speed dating event. Two other spots focus on a coming out and global current affairs. Print subjects on current topics were also realized.
