KA BOOM turns stocking wearers into heroes
The communications agency KA BOOM has launched a campaign for Sigvaris AG's compression stockings in which stocking wearers become heroes.
Heavy legs, perpetual sitting on the office chair: vein problems are a widespread disease that saps energy in the workplace and in coping with everyday life. Swiss stocking manufacturer Sigvaris offers the solution with medical compression stockings. However, little is known about the fact that these can also provide preventative protection. KA BOOM was commissioned by Sigvaris to change this, so it reached into the effects box to get the message across not only to retailers, but above all to end customers.
"Stockings make heroes - we took that literally," explains KA BOOM consultant Mara Kälin, who supported the Sigvaris AG project. "We used key visuals of 'real' superheroes for the campaign, especially in the POS area." Because with support - even if it's a compression stocking - you can achieve more. Supportive help, so to speak, which the consultant also felt from Sigvaris AG. "The idea was an immediate hit and we were able to pull in the same direction."
Junior Art Director Eva Wrann was therefore able to draw from the full: "The businesswoman, the elderly neighbor and the stressed office worker all come in the retro look of the Superman comics. Everyday and yet special." The humorous depiction was not only a stylish eye-catcher, but also conveyed a message at first glance: Stockings make heroes.
