K+D wins ECMA Awards finalist award

The European Carton Manufacturers Association (ECMA) honors the most innovative packaging manufacturers in Europe at its annual congress. A jury of international experts from the 7 different sectors selects the finalists and the winner, taking into account a wide range of criteria.K+D St. Gallen won the "ECMA Awards Finalist" award in the Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals sector after reaching the final for the first time. However, the packaging solution for high-quality dental implants made of ceramic was still convincing. The high embossing as well as matt and gloss varnishes provide a deliberate understatement. The first-opening protection guarantees safety and sterility. As an additional function, the package insert is secured in an extra compartment integrated into the packaging. "We are already very satisfied with our participation in the final," says Markus Naegeli, Head of Marketing and Sales at K+D. "Being nominated as a finalist is a great recognition and a confirmation in our product development work." The customer Dentalpoint from Zurich involved K+D in the conception of the packaging from the very beginning. This made it possible to have a direct influence on the technical feasibility and finishing variants.
