Erich Hodel, Head of Marketing & Sales at Hunkeler AG, presents a refined poster. In connection with the development of markets and technology, Hunkeler AG, organizer of the trade fair, speaks of growing complexity. Project-related orders are increasingly replacing a previously product-oriented way of thinking. As a result, close cooperation with customers and print manufacturers is gaining in importance.Monitoring the processesIn the interest of complete coverage of the value chain, the focus is also shifting to comprehensive planning, control and monitoring of processes - from the electronic document template to the finished product.Print on demand in demandHunkeler recognizes a shift in the markets. Transaction printing still accounts for a large proportion of sales. However, there is continuous growth in the classic print markets. Falling print runs, greater product diversification, individualization, the demand for lower storage costs and the trend towards decentralized production are all reasons that are driving print on demand in commercial, book, catalog, newspaper and magazine printing. The trends of the Hunkeler Innovationdays 2015 at a glance- Book production solutions in a wide range of workflow variants. From highly flexible nearline solutions to highly automated book production lines - Laser finishing for perfect security printing.
