Needs-based system accelerates GzD process
WORKFLOW As a division of Coop, Chocolats Halba produces more than 12,000 tons of quality Swiss chocolate every year. An electronic good-to-print workflow was introduced in collaboration with Straumann AG.

Good-to-print checks have been carried out at Chocolats Halba since mid-February using an electronic system. In principle, a good-to-print workflow in packaging production looks relatively simple. A graphic designer or customer sends print data to a chocolate manufacturer. There, the coordination department circulates the dossier internally. Product management, technical, quality assurance and sustainability departments check and comment on the print data. The feedback is collected by the coordination office and checked for completeness. As soon as everything is correct, the data is sent to the print shop and then archived. In reality, everything is often a little more complex. The PDF of the article for download: MK Dossier Packaging, Issue 04_2013
