Blick am Abend on the rise, Watson back in the top 10
Even though the print edition will be discontinued in a week: Blick am Abend is stepping on the gas in social media. Watson also performs strongly in November, as the Storyclash ranking shows.

Evening view is discontinuing its print edition on Friday and will henceforth concentrate on managing the - quite successful - digital channels. On social media, at any rate, the new focus already seems to be making itself visible: The Ringier commuter newspaper increased by a remarkable 32 percent in November, which means around 200,000 additional interactions in this ranking region. Evening view thereby displaces Izzy back to fourth place and is back on the podium.
The top posts show why Evening view has increased to such an extent: Five of the most successful postings in November came from the free evening edition of the Blick Group - three of them in the top 5. And it also shows where Evening view shifted up a gear: All top posts were posted on Facebook. This means that the Ringier title has around 280,000 more Facebook interactions than in the previous month and is now the most successful Swiss medium on the social network, which has often been pronounced dead, but in reality still seems to work pretty well.
Also on the upswing is 20 minutes. Although the increase is no longer as great as in October (+38%), the curve still points upward in November (+6%). It is therefore quite possible that Tamedia will sooner or later disrupt Ringier's cosy foursome at the top in the new year. In direct comparison with main competitor View would have to 20 minutes but made significant gains on Instagram.
Speaking of the top group, the following continues to move there SRF. Leutschenbach seems to continue to rely on a balanced, broad-based social media strategy across all channels. SRF is not only strong on Instagram, but also manages Facebook, Twitter and YouTube with some success. With an increase in interactions of 13 percent, the Swiss radio and television closer to 20 minutes.
A considerable increase succeeds WatsonThe AZ media news portal achieved 74 percent more interactions in November than in the previous month. Watson climbs six places and is back in the top 10.
The Austrian start-up Storyclash records social interaction with media content. Every month, the Social News Ranking shows which media providers performed how and which were the posts with the most interactions. Werbewoche publishes the Swiss ranking exclusively. (hae)
