Artificial intelligence here, artificial intelligence there: no industry is spared the discussion about the extent to which algorithms will make human activity superfluous in the future - and in the worst case, human jobs. Not even the advertising industry. Even though it was long assumed that creativity at least would remain in human hands for a long time to come: The more sophisticated the learning ability of machines becomes, the less certain it is that we will ultimately be needed anywhere at all. Who can guarantee, for example, that creative, good ideas do not also function according to certain patterns that can be deciphered if enough illustrative cases are analyzed correctly?

But there is still some time left. At least in the creative industries, AI is still in its infancy. Humans can still make fun of the clumsiness of machines. The David Miami agency has created the first AI-generated campaign for Burger King. And it shows that it might be better to rely on humans for the time being. Because it will be a while before machines come up with such great campaigns. (hae)
