With a touch of Metropolis

Topics such as artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain, the Internet of Things, and augmented reality are everywhere. And yet, for most of us, they remain vague buzzwords. With its event series «The Blank Collar,» Link.one—in collaboration with Geyst—makes the major themes of digital transformation more accessible. With a touch of Metropolis.

These are exciting times, because nothing less than the future is at stake. A future that has long since begun - and poses fundamental questions. For example, "What does the future of work look like?" Because one thing is already clear today: the classic "blue-" and "white-collar jobs" - i.e., manual labor and office work - will soon be done by machines. So it's time to get to grips with digital culture and put on the "blank collar" shirt.

Digital forward drive

What will continue to distinguish humans from machines in the future is our creativity and our curiosity. And it is precisely this curiosity that is at the heart of the Blank Collar Meetups, which have been held at regular intervals in Zurich's Labor Bar since April 2018. The fact that they are always well attended comes as no surprise. After all, each evening features top-class speakers and focuses on a key topic of digital transformation. "Many of the blank-collar topics are issues we deal with as a digital agency," says Matthias Kadlubsky, Creative Director at Zurich-based agency Geyst. "That's why we particularly enjoyed giving this ambitious project a distinctive face."

A gig for the future

Futuristic, stylish and with a touch of Metropolis: this is how the visual appearance that Geyst developed for The Blank Collar can be described. It includes the complete corporate design, static and animated key visuals, and the stage design for the Meetups. Geyst also provides The Blank Collar with comprehensive brand consulting and delivers content for all channels. Everything in-house and from a single source. Geyst also documents the Meetups with exciting online videos. The next Blank Collar Meetup will take place on September 25 at Zurich's Labor Bar. The videos of all events can be viewed at theblankcollar.com or onYouTube.
