Storyclash ranking: Blick overtakes 20 Minuten in June and is new on the podium
Blick makes it onto the podium of the Storyclash ranking with a considerable leap forward in terms of interaction.

The two Ringier titles Energy Switzerland and View achieved a considerable increase in interactions in June. Energy consolidated its second place with almost 32% more interactions compared to the previous month. The radio group is thus alone in a wide field: Swissmeme currently appears to be uncatchable, its pursuer View well over 1.5 million interactions are still missing.
Nevertheless, the tabloid also achieved a considerable increase in June. In contrast to its Tamedia competitor 20 minuteswhich dominates on Facebook but performs (relatively) weakly on Instagram, is driving View multi-track. This is now paying off, leaving the range leader behind.
And 20 minutes Ringier is threatening further trouble in the ranking: The youth medium specializing in Instagram Izzy is catching up and is now only a good 170,000 interactions behind the leading Swiss news portal.
Islam and the double-headed eagle
The top posts (articles) once again show which topics activate and work in social media: Migration and Islam. The best performing Le Temps with an article about the Austrian crackdown on radical Islamists. Mosque closures and imam expulsions were the result, which the NZZ (8th place) reported in an interactive manner. The debate surrounding Granit Xhaka and Xherdan Shaqiri's double eagle celebration also dominated: no fewer than three articles in the top 10 were devoted to the Serbia match and its much-discussed consequences.
The second-placed article in the NZZ is about the negative consequences of immigration. And even Swissinfo contributes an immigration issue to the top 10: A British man was denied a Swiss passport because he did not know the Valais origin of the raclette. Instead of a red passport, there were red heads on social media - because apart from this cheesy faux pas, there seems to have been nothing to stop the trilingual model citizen from being naturalized.
Swissmeme continues to dominate the picture posts at will. And is completely focused on the World Cup. This is no coincidence, because for operator Zeki Bulgurcu, the games are not just fun, but also a lot of work. "I watch at home. I sit at my laptop while watching the match and make memes about funny situations or noteworthy moments," he tells 20 minutes. The meme topicality of the World Cup also explains why Swissmeme managed to gain another 34 percent in June.
The Austrian start-up Storyclash records social interaction with media content. Every month, the Social News Ranking shows which media providers performed how and which were the posts with the most interactions. Werbewoche publishes the ranking exclusively in Switzerland. (hae)
