Ringier and Swisscom take over SRG shares in Admeira

The shareholder structure of Admeira, Switzerland’s largest advertising marketing company, is changing: SRG is selling its stake. The shares will be acquired in equal parts by the two co-shareholders, Ringier and Swisscom.

The share sale will enable the addition of new inventory providers and shareholders. Admeira continues to enjoy SRG's trust and will exclusively market its premium inventory in the coming years, according to the statement. "We are both proud and satisfied that we enjoy the full confidence of SRG and will continue to exclusively market their premium inventory," said Bertrand Jungo, CEO of Admeira. This is testament to Admeira's marketing expertise and strong position in the market as a provider of advertising platforms in the print, digital and broadcast genres.

The changes in the shareholder structure do not result in any adjustments to Admeira's operational focus. Marc Walder, Chairman of the Board of Admeira and CEO of Ringier, affirms: "The advertising and media markets continue to change substantially. Swisscom and Ringier are convinced that Admeira will once again strengthen Switzerland as a media location in the face of international competition. The sale of SRG's shares will make it possible to take on new inventory holders and shareholders in order to lead this innovation project into the future free from trench warfare in media politics."

Exploiting market opportunities through cross-media campaigns and digitization

The media market is undergoing a fundamental transformation: With its focus on cross-channel campaign planning and digital products, Admeira sees potential to offer high-impact and innovative solutions. Bertrand Jungo, CEO of Admeira: "We want to enable successful and effective advertising for our customers. To do this, we use our expertise in moving images and cross-media, among other things." Studies around broadcast, digital and video conducted by Admeira Research complement the services and confirm which specific factors have contributed to the success of an advertising campaign. "Our customers can take us at our word and make fact-based decisions in the future about where to invest their advertising dollars." The need for cross-genre and cross-publisher advertising alliances is great everywhere: "Admeira shows in an exemplary way how synergies can be used sensibly; advertising clients are thus offered new and innovative opportunities for attention, targeting and reach," says Marc Walder.
