Vice Switzerland joins forces with Coop to bring food channel Munchies to Switzerland
Vice and Fooby, Coop's culinary platform, have started a collaboration and are launching the internationally established food channel Munchies in Switzerland.

"Small and fragmented markets like Switzerland require strong collaborations in order to localize and develop focused offerings like Munchies. In Fooby, we have found the perfect partner who shares our ambitions and will now build on this attractive advertising environment in the long term," said Patrick Viert, Managing Director of Vice Switzerland, in a statement on Tuesday.
Munchies was launched in 2014 and is now published in five different languages in over 30 countries. From the consistent perspective of millennials, the publication offers everything on topics such as chefs, restaurants, recipes, food politics and pop culture. With over 400 million video views, an average viewing time of 18 minutes and countless awards and accolades, the food publication is already one of Vice's most successful channels internationally.
Katinka Oppeck, former editor-in-chief of the Rckstr Magazinewho will be responsible for the content of Munchies, continues: "Food culture plays an important role for our generation. We define ourselves through the food we eat, celebrate other cultures at the stove without borders and let absurd kitchen stories inspire us to new adventures. With Munchies, we want to discover unfamiliar and new perspectives in this world in Switzerland - and, following the Vice ethos, be honest, surprising and even a little uncomfortable. With Munchies, we are embarking on a journey into Switzerland's culinary underbelly."
