On a stick
Impressive: Getty Images, Fiftyfifty and Havas launch the "Repicturing Homeless" campaign, in which homeless people from Düsseldorf were hired as models for a series of stock images.

Together, the three partners are launching a campaign to change the perception of homeless people and create a new awareness. For "Repicturing", homeless people model for a series of stock images showing people from different walks of life. Homeless people from Düsseldorf, who sell the street magazine Fiftyfifty, were hired to recreate some of the most popular motifs at Getty Images as part of photo shoots. These include businessmen, chefs, shopkeepers and travelers. The images can be licensed on Gettyimages.com and on iStockphoto.com. The images are also advertised to Getty Images customers. All proceeds from the licensed images will go to Fiftyfifty to benefit local homeless people.
The photographic result: impressive. And somehow horizon-expanding. The "clothes-make-people" concept is nothing new in principle - but here it has once again been interpreted and applied magnificently. Chapeau! (hae)
