With this investment, the media group Tamedia, with its classifieds and marketplaces platforms, aims to benefit from the expertise and experience of the Berlin-based start-up in the areas of transaction and dispatch processing. At the same time, Tameida will support Gebraucht.de with its own extensive experience in this area.

Gebraucht.de offers a comprehensive and integrated transaction solution: Buyers decide on a product and select one of the payment options, the product is then shipped directly to the buyers by a shipping partner. Buyers can track the delivery at any time and payment is only released by Gebraucht.de once the buyers have checked the goods. Sellers are required to send the goods within around 48 hours.

In addition to Tamedia, the main investor in the start-up was the German publishing house Müller Medien and other German business angels. Gebraucht.de employs around 30 people at its headquarters in Berlin and has already recorded more than 100,000 app downloads in just a few weeks.
