Sascha Hardegger becomes Head of Communications + Campaigns at Unia
In mid-December, Sascha Hardegger took over as head of the Communications + Campaigns department at the Unia labor union. He succeeds Pepo Hofstetter, who will retire at the end of 2017.

Hardegger has worked in various communications management roles in recent years. After a classic "SBB career" - from rail operations dispatcher to Head of Communications for the Infrastructure/Asset Management division - he was subsequently responsible for national and international public relations at Affichage Holding. He is also no stranger to the "agency" side of things. Together with his wife, he set up the text agency Etextera, which only employs well-educated women so that they can juggle work and family life. In recent years, Hardegger has specialized in corporate communication and online communication, graduating with an Executive Master's degree in Corporate Communication Management.
Nico Lutz, member of Unia's Executive Board, says: "Online communication is becoming increasingly important for Unia. I am delighted that we as a trade union and employer, Unia, have been able to convince Sascha Hardegger to join us. It also shows me that Unia, as the largest trade union in Switzerland, is an attractive employer for specialists in a wide range of fields."
