The BBC reminds us with an emotional short film: Christmas is a time to spend together.

BBC One will be stirring the pot over the coming festive period. The extensive program has been designed so that you can enjoy TV experiences together with friends or family.

The festive program will be accompanied by the short film "The Supporting Act", which BBC Creative, BBC One Marketing and the production company Blinkink launched on Saturday. It tells the story of a ten-year-old girl who is preparing for her big dance performance and cannot count on the support of her loving but professionally absorbed father. For the time being.

What is special about this refreshing film is above all the production technique, with which BBC, as so often, is breaking new ground. It is a mixture of the traditional stop-motion technique popular in the UK and modern computer animation. The bodies were created by the hands of successful puppet artists, the faces come from the computer. The aim is to combine the lively, "real" charm of the stop-motion technique with the ability to tell the story without dialog thanks to the precise facial expressions. Not a bad result at all. (hae)
