Luzerner Zeitung will no longer be printed by Ringier but by Tamedia as of 2019

From the beginning of 2019, the Luzerner Zeitung and its regional editions will be printed at Tamedia's Zurich printing center and no longer at Ringier Print in Adligenswil.

The printing contract between LZ Medien and Ringier Print in Adligenswil expires at the end of 2018. Against this background, LZ Medien has received various offers for the future printing of the Lucerne Newspaper and its regional editions. According to the press release, Tamedia's Zurich printing center submitted the most attractive offer with the best price-performance ratio to LZ Medien and was consequently awarded the contract.

From January 1, 2019, the LZ titles will be printed at Tamedia's Zurich printing center, which since mid-2015 has also produced the New Zurich Newspaper and the NZZ on Sunday prints. "The processes with the Tamedia print shop are very well coordinated. The fact that we print several titles at the same location helps us to manage our internal production and quality management efficiently," explains Daniel Ettlinger, who heads Printing and Publishing Services at the NZZ Media Group.
