Overpopulated

Using a considerable amount of cardboard, Uber and Forsman & Bodenfors show that a lot is going wrong in our cities.

"Absurd" is the traffic situation in today's big cities, according to the press release for the campaign created by Swedish agency Forsman & Bodenfors for Uber Asia Pacific. There is only one person in most cars - the streets are congested and residents are stressed as a result. In Asia's largest cities, people are stuck in traffic jams for almost an hour on average - every day. And they spend almost half an hour a day looking for parking spaces.

With the initiative Unlocking Cities Uber wants to help solve the problem and reduce the number of cars in cities. Not only sharing cars, but also sharing rides. Of course, this is entirely in the interests of Uber, as the company is known to offer ready-made solutions for this. But the fact that not everyone would have to stand around in a traffic jam in their own car is of course true. And it's also reflected in the cardboard-heavy commercial, whose images are at times a little reminiscent of the SVV campaign from TBD. - beautifully illustrated. How many cardboard boxes were actually "sacrificed" for this is unknown. (hae)
