Generations

Great storytelling cinema: an emotional Danish short film puts people in the foreground and the diesel scandal in the background for Volkswagen.

With "Generationer", Volkswagen is launching a content platform that focuses on people and their personal, emotional relationship with the Wolfsburg-based car giant.

Cars often grew really fond of their "owners" - especially in the past. They became loyal, uncomplicated family members who gave a lot but demanded nothing. They outlasted generations and grew up with them.

At a time when the company is struggling with a loss of image, fines running into billions and a reorganization of the entire automotive industry, which it once dominated with such aplomb, it is good to recall its own incomparable history. Emotions instead of technical data.

The six-minute film "Generationer", created by the agency Very, offers strong storytelling. And some chicken skin. It tells the story of a difficult father-son relationship. And about generations of all kinds. Don't forget to switch on the English subtitles. (hae)
