SRF Archive shows what the mysterious Internet had to offer in 1995
Spiegel, Tagi, Playboy: In 1995, Swiss television educated the public about what could be found on the Internet.

In the program "MTW" from March 16, 1995, viewers learned why an excursion into the mysterious online worlds could be worthwhile. There was the Tages-Anzeiger, for example, which published a Neat study - at that time without a registration requirement and subscription+ payment barrier. The Zurich specialist bookshop Freihofer even sold books online, Mr. and Mrs. Schweizer learned. Despite its digital pioneering spirit, the bookshop on Universitätsstrasse no longer exists (Source).
The SRF archive department, whose finds are always a delight, has unearthed and digitized this brief overview of the Internet highlights of the time. (hae)
