For the producer and Thunerseespiele Board President Elsbeth Jungi Stucki, FBM was the desired partner to be able to maintain the Seespiele in terms of a succession plan: "I am happy to have found Freddy Burger, the Swiss market leader in the musical business, as the buyer. Thanks to a super motivated team, all volunteers, the city of Thun, as well as loyal sponsors and partners, we will be able to hand over a healthy company after this year's success with Cats and the cult musical Mamma Mia from next summer 2018. We are creating a win-win situation to survive in the competitive event market in the long term. This is in line with the wish of my late husband and visionary Seespiele co-founder Res Stucki to nurture his life's work and ensure the continuity of the Seespiele. For the time being, I am looking forward to staging the ABBA classic next summer with our proven team. I will remain connected to the Seespiele in the future as an ambassador. Furthermore, Managing Director Stephan Zuppinger and I will be happy to provide our know-how as a link and advisor even after the takeover."

For the owner of the Zurich entertainment and gastronomy company FBM, Freddy Burger, the Thun Lake Games are an ideal addition: "As the long-standing operator of two theaters in Zurich and Basel, we have specialized in the staging of musicals and stage shows. As a result, we have a network of relationships with the largest international rights holders and producers, as well as a corresponding marketing organization. The open-air summer season with the Seebühne opens up new opportunities and perspectives for us to exploit synergies and further expand this area. For example, we can optimize our infrastructure by seasonally complementing the theater's performance times. We are delighted with the trust placed in us and look forward to the upcoming productions with the Thunerseespiele, which has managed to position itself not only in Switzerland but also as a respected and prestigious player in the European musical scene."
